In this post we want to help you and give you some ideas for outdoor activities to do with children, your own... or your friends' children!
People who enjoy nature often go out into the countryside with their sons and daughters, nephews, their best friend's daughter... We often run out of ideas about what to do.
The ideas for outdoor activities to do with children that we give you today are:
1. Natural musical percussion
Play a game of finding dry branches and suggest they bang them together. Put small tree fruits in a plastic bottle and you'll have maracas. Offer them a piece of wood and a stick to play a drum… What a symphony!

2. Build a nest
With dry grass, twigs, scrap paper, and some rags, make a nest. The rags and scrap paper will help you build the base. Then, cover it with the twigs and dry grass to hide the hand of man and so the chicks can live happily ever after. To the friends of The Real Bird Watching I'm sure they'll love it!!!

3. Hiking in the countryside
An organized hike through a natural area is one of the easiest activities for children to enjoy and learn to appreciate nature. The most important factor to consider is choosing simple trails that are appropriate for the age and fitness level of the hikers.
Spain has an extensive network of marked trails and paths adapted for hiking with young children. If you happen to be passing through Priego de Córdoba in the Posada Niña Margarita They will recommend excellent routes for hiking with children.
Take your child out to look for animal tracks in the countryside. Use the tracks to make beautiful molds and have them identify the animals. Dig carefully around the tracks, remove the soil, and place it in a box. When you get home, mix water and plaster of Paris over the soil and let it dry. There you have your animal track!

5. Play and listen
Exploring the countryside with your eyes closed, simply touching and smelling your surroundings, is a truly enlightening experience. Take your child to a plant, let them touch it, feel its texture, listen to the songs of the local birds, and breathe in the fresh scents of the countryside.
6. Natural air fresheners
There are many aromatic plants in the countryside that are used in commercial air fresheners. Make your own natural one by gathering several sprigs during your day in the countryside. When you get home, take a small cloth bag and put the lavender inside. It's the perfect way to enjoy the countryside every time you open your closet.

7. Building a Sundial
Long before the digital clocks we use today to tell time existed, the Egyptians built the first known timekeeping device: the sundial. To make one for your little one, choose a sunny spot in your garden. Drive a stick vertically into the ground and draw a line marking the length of the sun's shadow. Mark each position on the line as the hour changes.
On clear summer nights, it will be easy to distinguish certain constellations with the naked eye, such as the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper. If you want to go further, you can use binoculars, a very effective instrument for observing the night sky and considerably more manageable and economical than a telescope for a child.

Hello. I would love it if you could provide details, including dates and other information, about the activities you offer for children. I live in Madrid but I go down to Cabra often, and I have a 10-year-old daughter who I would love to have participate in some of the activities you organize. Thank you very much and best regards, Ana
